You *want* this knob!

If you're thinking about replacing your OEM shift knob, I never realized there were so many little details to consider... the color, the weight, the fit on your existing shifter arm, the shape of the knob... and if you're new to the game, honestly, there may be a little trial and error before you get where you want to be. I was in that boat, I wasn't looking for a knob, never even knew you could change them out! I happened upon a YouTube video that came up when I was just looking at all things related to the 2022 GR86 I just bought. The video was not *from* Billetworkz, but the YouTuber gave them such a glowing recommendation, that I headed over to their site. *LONG* story short, I landed on their Candy Red Weighted knob, Lightbulb shape. It fits my hand perfectly. It helps make the shifts super smooth. I also purchased Billetworkz' short shifter, and the combo is nothing short of amazing. It makes it like driving a totally new and improved version of my car! Hard to believe something as basic as a shift knob could do that, but there you are. Austin was super great to work with, answered all my crazy questions (and quickly, too!). Everyone over there is super nice and helpful and responsive, they really want you to be happy 'cause they're enthusiasts themselves and they just get it. The Candy Red color is well represented in the pic above, but let me also just say, it is *sweeeeet* in bright sunlight! The depth and metallic sparkle in the color really shine and you will absolutely love this knob! Do yourself a favor and also get a knob cover... I'd heard sunshine gets metal knobs hot, but I thought people were just being whimps about it... nope. I frickin' couldn't drive the car on Day 1 in the sun, when I came back to leave after it'd been parked a couple hours. Fortunately, I had one of those covid masks in the glovebox to wrap around it 'cause it was unbelievably hot! hehehe That's no knock on Billetworkz' products or process, that's simply materials science, my friends! It's not a great pic 'cause I just took it on the fly to show my girlfriend, but I'll attach it here so you all can see the install. ;)

very solid, would recommend, but very expensive.

I love mine, i got the lightbulb shape for my subaru impreza, which is about 2x the weight of the original. the shape is nice and the color is awesome, the weight feels great going into gear. I get why its expensive, its solid steel and powder coated, but I feel it is more expensive than it should be. If you want a really nice one to use forever, this is it cause it'll prolly last longer than the car itself. i recommend but it is expensive.

Candy Red Weighted Shift Knob

To tell you the truth I was worried that the shift knob wouldn't fit I have a mk7 GTI and finding a heavyweighted aftermarket replacement can be tricky, but I am glad to say Billetworkz got it right a beautiful paint coat the shift knob is weighted perfect and it look amazing in my mk7 GTI...and for record it took about 25min to install. I would recommend this to anyone interested in a quality shift knob for a great price.
