Short Throw Shifter:

  • Our Short Shifter features the shortest shifts compared to all other 2015+ WRX Short Shifters on the market. We also designed our Short Shifter to be more comfortable and ergonomic than others (no hitting your hand on the e-brake handle when shifting into second). The included Reverse Lockout is CNC machined from 6061 and anodized for a vibrant and durable finish. The Shifter Rod is machined from 304 SS. SS Hardware is included. We also include o-rings in the reverse lockout assembly to eliminate rattle (o-rings will need to be lubricated, we recommend 3-in-1 oil.

Shifter Stop:

  • Our Shifter Stop is designed to significantly reduce the amount of slop when in 1st and 2nd gear by limiting (or stopping) the lateral movement. When adjusted correctly, 1st and 2nd gear can be easily engaged with a very precise feel.

Shifter Plate:

  • The Billetworkz Short Shifter Transmission Plate replaces the factory shifter plate, but reduces the shift throw by changing the pivot points. Our short shifter plate is designed to be slightly heavier than the factory shifter plate (without being too heavy) to offset the shorter throw. (935 grams)

Shifter Bushing:

  • Our Shifter Bushing is designed to replace the factory rubber bushing located in the shift cable that mounts to the transmission shifter plate. Replacing the OEM rubber bushing with our brass Shifter Bushing will reduce shifter slop and proved and very positive shifts.

In terms of difficulty lvl of install i would give it a 7/10, especially when you get to the Shifter plate at least for me. Getting the pin out was probably the hardest part since my 2020 WRX has almost 60k miles it.

Next is the shifter stop, for some reason I couldn't figure out at the time it would not allow me to shift into 1st & 2nd gear. That is after installing everything else in the kit.

Overall even without the "Shifter Stop" installed i do really love how it feels with the shorter throw. I am still very satisfied & the quality of the kit itself is a 10.

( After seeing my original 4.5 star review, the Billetworkz Team quickly reached out to me & helped me figure out a installation error that allowed me to fix the issue I was having with the "Shifter Stop." With this I can honestly say that this is without a doubt 10/10 on quality & customer service, highly recommend them to anyone thinking about purchasing this kit. )

Outstanding, Worthwhile modification!

The Short Throw Shifter Kit arrived promptly. It was very nicely packaged, and in perfect condition when it arrived. The install was a bit more challenging than I anticipated, but well worth the effort. I had a problem with 6th gear, but an email to Billetworkz provided a solution in short order. The OEM shifter was so sloppy and loose...now they are crisp and precise. I had planned to purchase the OEM Short Throw by the dealer... I'm glad I went with Billetworkz. They provide a much better solution for a much more reasonable cost. I am very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend this product.

2024 WRX Short shifter kit

After installing and using this kit for few days, I must say, its a must have mod for WRX. Gears are perfectly notchy, very short, precise and fast shifts.
Overall parts quality is really good. Installation needs some moderate efforts. When you install short throw shifter, it will graze to cover plate underneath the gear stick. You just need to add spacers.
The only downside is you need little more force to shift the gears.
