Short Throw Shifter:
Our Short Shifter features the shortest shifts compared to all other 2015+ WRX Short Shifters on the market. We also designed our Short Shifter to be more comfortable and ergonomic than others (no hitting your hand on the e-brake handle when shifting into second). The included Reverse Lockout is CNC machined from 6061 and anodized for a vibrant and durable finish. The Shifter Rod is machined from 304 SS. SS Hardware is included. We also include o-rings in the reverse lockout assembly to eliminate rattle (o-rings will need to be lubricated, we recommend 3-in-1 oil.
Shifter Stop:
Our Shifter Stop is designed to significantly reduce the amount of slop when in 1st and 2nd gear by limiting (or stopping) the lateral movement. When adjusted correctly, 1st and 2nd gear can be easily engaged with a very precise feel.
Shifter Plate:
The Billetworkz Short Shifter Transmission Plate replaces the factory shifter plate, but reduces the shift throw by changing the pivot points. Our short shifter plate is designed to be slightly heavier than the factory shifter plate (without being too heavy) to offset the shorter throw. (935 grams)
Shifter Bushing:
After installing and using this kit for few days, I must say, its a must have mod for WRX. Gears are perfectly notchy, very short, precise and fast shifts.
Overall parts quality is really good. Installation needs some moderate efforts. When you install short throw shifter, it will graze to cover plate underneath the gear stick. You just need to add spacers.
The only downside is you need little more force to shift the gears.
I’m lost for words how great this kit is. Changes the whole driving experience completely. The tried are significantly shorter and more crisp than ever. The quality on these pieces are top notch and I couldn’t be more happier with my purchase.
Great product changed the whole feel of the shifting in my car. Great customer service from Austin. Installed with minimal mechanical expertise and their YouTube video. If you are worried you can’t do it yourself I assure you with the help of the video you will be able to.
I initially installed the Billetworkz shifter plate onto my 2022 Subaru and added the shifter stop to the factory OEM shifter rod. It was a noticeable improvement over the standard stock shifter. After I got used to it though, I found that it still felt a little 'soft' and decided to the have the short throw shifter installed. I'm glad I did... the shift is night and day compared to the OEM shifter. The only difference is how low the STS feels compared to the stock shifter. Once you get used to the lower shifting position, it just feels normal. I had initially used the 2" extension on top of the STS shifter, but felt it was pretty similar to the OEM shifter with Billetworkz shifter plate. Since I preferred the feel of the complete STS shifter kit, I decided to remove the 2" extension. Without the extension, the STS kit has a noticeable notchy, firm shift. All in all, the STS kit is a must have add on for your vehicle. It really improves the feel of the transmission with smooth, distinct shifts that are not sloppy. Quality is better than expected with superior workmanship and the best customer support in the industry. Highly recommend, A++
Honestly the best mod for a daily. Absolutely love the kit. It was super tedious to install but all in all, worth it. There’s one thing bad i have to say about this product. At least with my ‘23 wrx, the OEM shifter sat higher then the aftermarket short throw shifter… I had to dent the steel plate under the shift assembly to prevent any rattling. Still waiting on the Fusion Shift knob I ordered to match the color way of the Torched Titanium shifter.
