STI Reverse Lockout

Our STI One-Piece Reverse Lockout is the perfect accessory to add to your interior. Our Reverse Lockouts include two internal o-rings to minimize vibration and rattling. They also include a stainless steel set screw to hold in place, rather than a roll pin. This part is a direct replacement for the OEM reverse lockout and boot retainer. Each Reverse Lockout is custom anodized to provide a unique and scratch resistant layer.

Be sure to lubricate the o-rings for the reverse lockout to function properly.

Will only fit 6-Speed STI’s and some 6-Speed Legacy’s. Please contact us to confirm fitment.

Reverse lockout

Very nice product, I added a little grease to my o rings inside as it was dragging with the kart boy short shifter. I got this so I can run a 450g shift knob without any vibrational noises and it works very well. Satisfied with my purchase!

Easy to install and looks good

The reverse lockout was super easy to install, just watch the step by step instruction video and it’s a piece of cake. Only thing I’d say is even with lubing the o-rings inside the lockout, it still seems to stick a little. Hoping it gets better the more it’s used. But other than that, definitely looks a lot better than the factory one.

Amazing product

This product was easy to install. Looks amazing intalled with a billetworks weighted shift knob. I definitely recommend this product.

Works great, plus no roll pin to contend with BUT a few minor issues

I installed one on a stock OE short shifter, then move it to a Kartboy short shifter, the quality itself is very good- only minor gripes:

1)- on a stock style shifter you will experience sticking while pulling up- the OE shift arm has a step where the threads for the shift knob engage, and it will cause an occasional hangup- it has to do with the upper o-ring being slightly too high on the lockout.

This does not happen with a Kartboy- it's smooth. Use some sort of silicone grease (disc brake grease is great)

2)- I wish the piece came with the allen wrench- it's a itty-bitty metric size not commonly used on cars, couldn't find at the store either. PITA.

3)- the upper lip that is supposed to hold the shift boot down is slightly undersized, so the shift boot may want to slip upward, hitting where your fingers pull up.

The solution to this is prior to installing the console, pull the shift boot inside out, and zip-tie the top of the shift boot into the groove on the lockout it's supposed to stay in. Then install the console. It will never slip up again.
