REDUCE YOUR THROW BY 55%!

WILL NOT FIT STI.

Includes:

  • Short Throw Shifter (with your choice of Reverse Lockout Color)
  • Shifter Stop
  • Shifter Plate
  • Shifter Bushing

Short Throw Shifter:

  • Our Short Shifter features the shortest shifts compared to all other 2015+ WRX Short Shifters on the market. We also designed our Short Shifter to be more comfortable and ergonomic than others (no hitting your hand on the e-brake handle when shifting into second). The included Reverse Lockout is CNC machined from 6061 and anodized for a vibrant and durable finish. The Shifter Rod is machined from 304 SS. SS Hardware is included. We also include o-rings in the reverse lockout assembly to eliminate rattle (o-rings will need to be lubricated, we recommend 3-in-1 oil.

Shifter Stop:

  • Our Shifter Stop is designed to significantly reduce the amount of slop when in 1st and 2nd gear by limiting (or stopping) the lateral movement. When adjusted correctly, 1st and 2nd gear can be easily engaged with a very precise feel.

Shifter Plate:

  • The Billetworkz Short Shifter Transmission Plate replaces the factory shifter plate, but reduces the shift throw by changing the pivot points. Our short shifter plate is designed to be slightly heavier than the factory shifter plate (without being too heavy) to offset the shorter throw. (935 grams)

Shifter Bushing:

  • Our Shifter Bushing is designed to replace the factory rubber bushing located in the shift cable that mounts to the transmission shifter plate. Replacing the OEM rubber bushing with our brass Shifter Bushing will reduce shifter slop and proved and very positive shifts.

Nice and notchy, way way better than the stock shifter. No noise, no shaking.

Wonderfully put together.

First off, I wanted to thank you again for your support last week.
I wanted to share with you my inputs on the install. As I mentioned I would last week... nothing much, just what I noticed.
When removing the center console/armrest, the newer 2023's don't have any screws holding the arm rest area down... it's all clipped in. Once you remove the e-brake boot, the cup holders area just unclips. There is a little sensor needing to be removed, but historically, one of the easiest to remove. I have owned 5 WRX/STi's now... and this was by far the easiest to work with.
Once you removed all that, the exact way you break it down in your video was perfect. Everything was spot on.
Underneath the car, the lift/hoist capabilities make things easier for you, but since I don't have one, I did it on the ground. The heat shield now has 6 screws, not 4, and also calls for some minor bending to get around the exhaust.
The whole process, from the shifter linkage to the removal of the pin in the shifter plate, was spot on. The shifter pin was the biggest pain in the butt. Having to do all that on the ground was tough... but as you stated in your video, easy enough to do. Thank you for mentioning to insert the pin prior to reinstallation, that would have been really difficult to do under the car, and saved me wasting time trying to do it under the car.
The only issue I had dialing anything in was the shifter stop. The video doesn't seem to be your traditional videos... which is fine, but I love your attention to detail throughout your process. The issue was knowing or having your input on the position of the stop. I had to adjust it a few times after completing the install, which was annoying, but I would hope that even though it's a short video, your personal touch would be nice to know. Only because I had to find the right placement of the stop, and the shifter knob, otherwise I couldn't get it into reverse at times because the knob was too low.
But aside from my appreciation of how you put your videos together, and the attention to detail you have, I enjoyed being spoiled by your videos.
Great job on the whole shifter kit. It was easy enough to do in about 3-4 hours on the ground. I truly do appreciate your videos.
Thank you much, again.

Worth the price of admission

I installed this kit on my 2023 WRX premium and wow, what a difference! I consider this both a modification and an investment.
This is a huge improvement over stock and delivers a nice shifting experience. Granted, the action feels a bit on the notchy side, but I prefer that.
Although the installation took some finesse, it was definitely worth it. All the gears engage well and the shifter has very little slop with proper shifter stop adjustment.
If you are considering upgrading your OEM shifter on a VB chassis WRX, this is the kit you want!
